This coming week the junior youth will start a study on the book of Psalms! I am excited about this study and I have been praying about what to do and the Lord led me to this book. I think that the youth can really learn and be encouraged by this study.

I want us all to encourage the youth of this generation, not only on our church but in the world also. They have a fight everyday between good and evil especially in this world we are living in. Be the example that God wants us to be. Reach out and touch someone. Encourage and you will be blessed also.

DON'T FORGET!! THIS SUNDAY!! March 28--after church we are going to go to lunch (fast food) and then to Clemmons Village to pass out Easter cards to the elderly, I want to encourage all youth to go and parents to encourage their kids to go no matter what the age. This is an outreach and our children to need to learn to give of themselves and their time to others who need it.
Please send $5 with your child for food and we will be back at the church by 1:15pm.

Were taking the youth (ALL ages) to see the "Fourth Cross" at Narrow Way productions in Fort Mills SC. You need to sign up by this coming Sunday March 28! Ages 3-18 WILL be paid for by the church. ALL Adults MUST pay their own ticket!
We will be leaving the church sharply at 9:30am on APRIL 10 to get there and get out seats. Lunch is served at 12pm and that is included with the ticket!
We will be back at the church around 5:15-5:30pm.

soo its been a while...

it's been a hot minute since I have updated so I thought I'd update you guys on a few things...last Saturday we took the youth to Clemmons Village Assisted Living to pass out Valentine day cards, some of the children were like ehh about it but when they all got there they ended up loving talking to the elderly and seeing them smile so big when they handed them a card. it was awesome and will definitely be going back regularly so that we can just put a smile on their face:)...its worth it!

Last Sunday started our week long revival with the Encounter team...it has been amazing to say the LEAST! They are an awesome group of young adults that travel around the year to churches and sing, sign, perform skits and many other things! They are an awesome awesome group of people and their ministry for the Lord is incredible!

Tonight Emily & I will be taking up 8 st youth to True Love Waits rally. I pray that God gives all the teens a TOUCH from Him that we all need and especially the teenagers and give them the strength they need to make the RIGHT choices in their lives. I pray that we all get blessed by HIM this weekend!

Hey friends! I have a few things that I am in need of so I thought I would post a blog to spread the word...
In the Jr. Youth I let the children earn coins for things like verse memorization, bringing their Bibles and a friend. In return for earning these coins I am going to have a "store" (rubbermaid containers) priced at 1 coin, 2 coins and 4 coins...depending on the toy/trinket/candy price(coins) they can turn their coins in for a prize. This is an incentive to keep the children learning new verses and doing things to help them grow in the Lord.
I want you all to encourage your children to learn their verses and bring their Bibles and to always invite friends!!

So if you can donate any lil toys, gadgets anything a child from 7-12 years old would like to earn that would be AWESOME!

I found some really cool things for boys and girls in the dollar section of ACMoore yesterday and some things from the Dollar Tree today.

NEXT WEDNESDAY: VALENTINES DAY party for BOTH youth groups! So parents of older ones if you would like to bring something in for them you can! Jay and I will be bringing cupcakes/cookies for the older ones...
younger ones will have their own party in the Youth room! We have a sign up sheet, if you didn't sign up for anything you can bring anything if you'd like. we are having cupcakes/cookies, chips, pickles, juice and tons of candy! Beware of the sugar your children will be sent home with haha.

DON'T FORGET!!! To send valentines in for your children's frineds in youth, we made boxes so that your child can deliver them to their friends!:)

Skate night was a success, no one broke anything and everyone kept there teeth. haha but it was a good time. all the children seemed to enjoy it!

I am excited about this Wednesday night, we will continue our study on the 66 books of the Bible. We are still in Genesis and all the kids seem very into the study and I am proud of what they know. Great job parents!

Pray that they grow in Christ and become closer to Him and each other!

Last night was youth game night-it went really well! We had about 25 total with adults too! Everyone got along great and things went smoothly and all the youth older and younger seemed to have a blast!! This will be something we will continue to do every so often!! I was so proud of all of the senior youth as well because everyone helped out the younger ones and made it go GREAT! Just to want to say thank you to everyone who brought their children & visitors. Thank you also to my mom and step dad and one of my best friends, Jennie for coming at helping!! I appreciate all the help!!

1.13.10--Tonight we started our NEW study on the Books of the Bible! The youth really seemed to enjoy it and I was proud of how much the youth knew about the books of the Bible and about some of the information about the certain books! It was a very exciting night--we started off like we normaly do in the "prayer circle/time" and took prayer request like we usually do, Emma said "Amanda, I have a praise report, can I share?" I was like OF COURSE you can. I was just blown away because I was so caught up in prayer request I was not even thinking like she was, that convicted me and made me think. We need to be MORE about PRAISING Him then constantly talking about our needs! That spoke volumes to me from Emmas mouth! I was definately taught something tonight as well!

I love the youth that we have, it is going and starting very smoothly and that is ONLY because of the LORD nothing that I or man has done, it all goes to HIM!

Be encouraged and let the youth know that you are PROUD of them!! :)

JULY 10 & 11

Stacey and I have set up a weekend on the Summer to go to Fancy Gap and take the Jr Youth for a couple nights. There will be fellowship, devotions/prayer time, food and of course FUN:)

I am excited about this and this will be another opportunity

to gain closeness to God and each other!!! I added a couple

of pictures one of the cabin and two, the VIEW!

God is proving His faithfulness to us EVERYDAY!

The only cost is $3 per child to cover pizza, drinks and dessert.

What to bring: board games, card games...etc.

(**You can bring your nintendo DS but there will be a LIMIT play time of 30 minutes because not everyone has one and that is not fair to play the whole time and not interact)

I am excited about this and this will be a great time for the children to get to know each other and just have a good time!!

***NEEDED---young adults/adults who can help out during the game night, if you can only do a couple hours great, this is mainly to people outside of the church b/c the adults of Trinity are having couple movie night, so if you are a friend of mine and reading and can help PLEASE let me know. thank you!!

God keeps dropping the word "hope" into my spirit. I think just because people of the world have no hope but we as Christians KNOW that we ALWAYS have hope. No matter how bad we may FEEL, down we get or frustrated we get with people God gives us hope to endure in times of trouble God has blessed us with SOOO much! If we took a moment each day and just thanked Him for how much He has given us we would have a much better day!

GREAT news...Jay is officially the youth leader of the senior high youth at Trinity! God is doing so much in both our lives and I am so truly thankful, and thankful for a great church family and a church that we can serve in!

Be encouraged--encourage someone else.

The last few days I have realized just how much PRAYER is important. Prayer is the best and sometimes the only gift you can give somone in time of need or hurt.

I am thankful for the prayer warriors in my life! I want to also to encourage the youth and not only of Trinity but the youth of America to use prayer constantly! It's not just something you pick up and use in time of need! It should be a lifestyle, that you are constantly using and stay grounded in.

Sometimes we treat people around us better than we do God. Just remember without HIM we are NOTHING.

Earthquakers FIRST youth meeting of the New YEAR!

So, tonight was the first youth night of the New Year! I was very excited to jump in and get things rolling! I am very excited about being involved in the youth and growing in Christ TOGETHER! I think tonight went smoothly! The children really got involved on the topic of "prayer" tonight. I started this thing called the "prayer circle" where we meet in a circle, talk about things, give prayer request and pray together before each meeting. Tonight we talked about several verses in the Bible that talked about prayer. The kids ALL participated in the disscussions and all were eager to help out where needed.

We watched a video clip in big church for a few minutes on the upcoming Revival--February 14-19..we are all excited about that and hope that you will join us!!

Welcome to the new BLOG of Trinity Youth Group!!

Hello friends! I thought I would start a blog so that everyone can see what is happening and what is stirring in the youth at Trinity Friends YOUTH!!

I have just recently taken over the younger youth at Trinity Friends. I have ages K5-6th grade!! I am excited about the new things we have planned for the youth!

We have recently chosen the name "the EARTHQUAKERS" for the youth! We are excited about what is ahead of!

On this blog you can keep track of things that are going on, check out pictures and see upcoming events we have planned!! Also when we plan fundraisers they will posted as well so that people can get involved and help out if they would like!!
